Bank of New York Mellon Financial Data Center

The Bank of New York Mellon Financial Data Center located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania consists of a 44,000 square foot office building and a 72,000 square foot Greenfield Tier IV data center facility with 32,000 square feet of raised floor computer environment.  The facility incorporates a supporting office, mechanical, electrical, facilities garage and generator building. The building structure is structural pre-cast designed to resist high wind forces and withstand a major disaster, such as a tornado, hurricane or seismic activity. The data center is a highly robust, Tier IV data center in its capacity, reliability and maintainability including high wind resistance, security measures and redundancy in infrastructure. The facility incorporates 7 x 24 design and the ability to run all operations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without scheduled or unscheduled downtime. The redundancy level of the systems is established at an appropriate level for a critical center by components ranging from N to 2N+1.
