Holder constructed a 38,440 square foot state-of-the-art office / classroom addition to provide expansion space for the Smith School of Business. The addition adjoins the north end of Van Munching Hall and matches the architectural expression and quality of the existing building.
The new wing includes classrooms, conference rooms, executive meeting areas and offices. Within the 38,440 square feet addition, space is provided for 31 faculty offices, 94 PhD candidates, 12 MBA team rooms, two 80-seat tiered classrooms, two 56 seat classrooms, a seminar room, an executive meeting room, and support spaces.
On the outside, the new wing is a seamless addition to the rest of the building, with a boxy structure and a facade of alternating brick and concrete layers. Outside of Van Munching Hall, the new south campus gateway features gorgeous stonework, a new clock tower, and a beautifully landscaped green space with brick walkways.
